DO NOT ever rent from CC&D Property Management, LLC. !! Owner Charles "Chuck" Loignon lied to me from day one through the three years that I rented from him and his wife, Donna. He stated he would would do a lease to own agreement with me after being there for two years. When the two years came up, I asked about the agreement we had made when I first moved in. He stated he never said anything like that and that he would never sell the house. Lesson learned: Get everything in writing!! Through the three years, I made several requests for things to be fixed or done to the house; which til today they still have not been done. I did not have cold water in the kitchen the whole time I lived there until two months before I moved out; which I had to pay someone to fix. I was not reimbursed for the receipt nor was it taken off of my rent payment. The same thing happened when the toilet kept stopping up and overflowing when you flushed. I had a plumber come out to fix it, paid on the spot and was never reimbursed. Windows are painted shut, which is a fire hazard/safety issue. I had to use a
cement block for the front step, which I was told when I moved in that a new step would be built (never was done). For the first two summers, he paid for someone to do landscaping or should I say mow the grass. I hired someone this spring to actually do the landscaping (mowing, *** eat, rake, trim bushes, seed grass, plant flowers, etc.) and was never reimbursed. Chuck would never answer his phone when I called; I would have to leave a voicemail which was never returned until at least three days later. The
final straw was when Chuck tried to force me to sign an illegal lease. I consulted a lawyer and I have in writing that the lease was in fact illegal based on the NC General Statute laws. I would recommend everyone to check out these laws, from renters to landlords/owners. Chuck wanted me to make and pay for all repairs to the house and not be reimbursed for any of it (illegal-landlords are to make and pay for all repairs).
